It’s a feeding frenzy!! So…want to know a little country wisdom? Free of charge. Yes? OK, here goes. Sweet feed is like crack to farm animals. They will do…anything…for sweet feed. Including biting poor unsuspecting fingers off. Ouch. I bought some for bribery purposes, but we also give them a little bowlful every morning and night. Makes ‘em perk right up when they see us come outside. “Is it sweet feed time??? Is it? Is it? Pretty, pretty please!!!”
So if you come visit, and want to pet a goat or a sheep, just ask us for a little sweet feed. But don’t say I didn’t warn you. Mike and I both ended up with goat injuries after the first attack..I mean, feeding. (Oh, and flip flops? Not really farm animal appropriate foot wear…my toes sort of got trampled.)
Nice, huh? Two pieces of country wisdom, for the price of one. Hope you put ‘em to good use!

I miss those guys, but they sound like they are getting a lot more food/feed/attention now! We forgot to give you the sheep de-wormer treatment stuff– I will send it with Tommy– and you need to trim their hooves some time soon…..

I noticed Fiona’s back hooves were getting a tad long, oh BOY!!
No wonder they bite you ! You are supposed to keep your fingers together with a flat hand ! Didn’t you learn anything from the petting zoo days ! Lol
Seriously! But, actually they got both of us on our finger tips…which is why we only hand feed Snuffles now. The rest of them are just piranhas in sheep/goat clothing and have been banished to a feed trough!!
